OreSpawn Update

Hi!

I am TheyCallMeDanger. Back in 2013/14 I wrote the OreSpawn/MC mod. Since then, I've had thousands of requests to update it to a more recent version of the game. I think it's time. We need some good news, a good distraction, and some great nostalgia. The reason I am starting this fundraiser is, well, OreSpawn/MC is kind of huge. Over a hundred amazing creatures, six incredible dimensions, I don't even remember how many awesome dungeons, and hundreds of blocks and items... it's too much for just me, all the APIs have changed too much, so I want to hire some help to get it done in a timely manner and get it done right.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to get started on the update, to open a brand new OreSpawn private club website, to build some of the content of that website, including chats, guides, polls, and contests, and begin to offer a lot more than just the OreSpawn/MC mod itself. I have hundreds more creatures, more than a dozen new dimensions, and even a couple new games on the way. OreSpawn hasn't just sat idle. It has continued to morph and grow. I haven't sat idle either. I need help to create a proper ecosystem for the fan base to play and grow too.



I don't want to be misleading here. This will be a private members-only website. Members get lots of free perks. The biggest (arguably) perk is free DangerZone VR when it comes out. Imagine OreSpawn, twice it's original size, in VR!!! Oh man.... And then there is the DangerZone game. DangerZone is a modding platform that already supports the latest and greatest massive OreSpawn/DZ mod. It is available right now. And it is EULA-free. Make a mod for DangerZone and it's your mod, yours alone, to do with as you please. And of course yes, you'll get access to some pretty awesome members-only-pre-releases and never-to-be-released versions of OreSpawn/MC too, and OreSpawn/DZ, and OreSpawn/VR. Who knows what wild things might occur in the R&D versions.... there's just no telling... OreSpawn is not just a mod for MC. OreSpawn grew beyond that a long time ago. This fundraiser is about continuing the growth of OreSpawn and seeing where it leads.

This project is priceless to so many people, myself included. The enjoyment of the players was my motivation and it showed in the quality of the mod. Let's do it again. I'm ready!

Target date is now. We can start as soon as we get near our goal. Finish date is approximately 90-120 days from start. Perhaps a little aggressive, but we will certainly give it a good try!
